Waterhog Premier Fashion Mats

All Waterhog mats, including the Waterhog Premier Fashion Floor Mat, is produced right here in the United States and made with American-sourced raw materials.

The Waterhog Premier pattern is made in a mold and thus we can only repeat the pattern every few feet.  Thus, we can produce lengths greater than those shown on the product page but are not able to customize sizes in between the mold pattern. Please reach out to us with the size you need and we can find either the closest size available or a product with a slightly different pattern that can be more tailored to your needs.

The Waterhog Premier Fashion Mats can be manufactured either 3 ft, 4 ft or 6 ft wide and in length up to 60 ft long. Thus, the longest and largest Waterhog Mat that we can offer with the premier pattern and fabric borders would be a 6 ft by 60 ft mat. (Please note, however, that we can manufacture other Waterhog mats in sizes with greater widths and/or greater lengths)

For mats being placed in a recess/depression in the floor you'll want a matting product that does not have any sloped borders because they could cause a tripping hazard if used in that type of depression where there is a void in the floor. Instead, you'll want to use the Waterhog Premier Floor Tiles which have the same pattern and same rugged construction, but can be adhered to the floor so that when they're installed the tiles will be level (flush) with the surrounding finished floor and not present a tripping hazard.

The Waterhog Premier Fashion Mat is a nominal 3/8" thick which should allow virtually all commercial and residential doors to swing over without impeding the movement of the door. Like it's sister product, the Waterhog Premier Mat with its heavy-duty rubber border, the Waterhog Premier Fashion Mat also has the beveled rubber edging around the perimeter but instead of the surface fabric stopping right before the rubber edge it's actually stretched over the border and securely bonded to the rubber to give a less 'commercial' look to the mat while still maintaining it's integrity, durability and offering an easy transition on and off the mat (which would be ideal for use in a location where people may be in wheelchairs or shuffling their feet).

Not at all! This Waterhog's multi-directional Gripper backing has thousands of little cleats on the underside of the mat that help grip the carpet beneath to minimize any mat movement on the floor. These cleats are only 1/16 of an inch little rubber nubs that simply help grab the floor below without causing any damage to even the most delicate of fabrics.

Great question.  One of the more striking (though less noticeable) differences between the Waterhog Premier Fashion Mat and the Waterhog Classic Fashion Mat is that the Premier version has a thicker, denser carpeted surface on top. The Waterhog Premier Fashion has a 30oz face weight which is 25% more material than the Classic Fashion version of the Waterhog mat. This greater face weight allows the Waterhog Premier Fashion matting to wick more rain and snow off of people's shoes and thus retain more moisture from being tracked inside. Also, the heavier face weight provides for a stronger, denser surface construction, which would help with durability and extend the overall life of the mat.

The diamond pattern on the Waterhog Premier mats is designed to be multi-directional, meaning that traffic can move across these entry mats in just about any direction and, thanks to the cross-hatch, diamond pattern, the mats will work just as well no matter how they're being traversed. For example, a 3 ft by 5 foot mat can have the 3 ft as the width and the 5 ft as the length or vice versa with the 5 ft as the width and the 3 ft as the length and the mat will perform the same.
